Datasets and databases

Deepnote treats data as a first-class citizen. There are multiple ways to access your data from deepnote:

  • Upload files directly from your computer or from a URL

  • Connect to a database directly (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

  • Connect to an AWS S3 bucket

  • And a lot more are on their way. Let us know which ones you'd like to see!

Upload files directly to a project

See our file import guide for how to do this.

Connect to a database or upload a dataset to be used across projects

To connect to a database or to an existing dataset, click the Add data source button in the left sidebar and select from the list of existing data sources:

If you want to create a new data source, click the "upload a dataset or add a data source" button on the top of this menu.
